The Sunrise Rotary Club of Texarkana recently planted 14 trees, one for each member of the Club, in the Nash Industrial Park in support of this year’s 1.2 million tree planting challenge by Rotary International’s President, Ian Riseley of the Nation of Australia.  The Sunrise Rotary Club, which meets on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. at the Texas Chuck Wagon in Nash, is one of five clubs who meet in the Texarkana and New Boston area.  Rotary, whose motto is “Service Above Self” is committed to serving our local community as well as important international community projects.  President, Patty Collier, shared, “Weekly meetings of the Sunrise Rotary Club are open to any interested member of our community.  If you are interested in joining us, just drop by for an interesting breakfast program.  You’ll be our guest!”
